      Hi,

Helm has a flexibility that is unbeatable and has been proven to dramatically reduce support time, administrative time and provided unparalleled growth capabilities that is completely unique to Helm.

Helm supports the ability to control and administer many different types of services like Mail servers, FTP servers, Database, statistics.

        How about HSphere??

I haven't used the Hlem CP in quite some time and tried it today.

It was DREADFULLY SLOW and doesn't have near the functionality of HSphere.

        Would Accuweb consider changing??

          Hi,

The main reason for slow response of the helm was load on the server. We've mail server and helm working on the same server, e.g. ACCUMAIL1. We've experienced more than normal load on this server due to heavy mail operations, otherwise, we prefer HELM due to it's clustering and robust architecture. Apart from this, webhostautomation.com is launching a completely re-written version of HELM in XML in this QUARTER. The new version is XML based and is very powerful compared to the recent one.

At this moment, we don't have any plan to change the Control Panel of the Windows Plans.

cPanel allows you to setup basic functions on the server such as email, mysql, ftp etc.
It also allows you to manage the web pages that are shown on your website.

                      Hello everyone!

I know that this post is somewhat old but hopefully a lot of people are still visting it like me

For hosting companies that are just starting a new hosting business HMSPANEL is probably the best solution out there. Out of the box you get just about all you need to get started. HMSPANEL blows DirecAdmin away by FAR on performance and scalability. With HMSPANEL you can attach all of your servers to your master administration panel and you can easily manage services, provision IPs, Manage DNS, E-mail all from one place instead of having to access 50 different servers for any minor change. Software can be found at: www.hmspanel.com

We have 26 server managed through this control panel and it doesn't matter if the server are VPS or dedicated servers / the same installer works for both. Supported OS include CentOS 5, Fedora Core 10, Red Hat Linux 5.

The best of all is that it has a built-in billing system that can compute prorated amounts for customers, it generates monthly expense and revenue graphs.

Just a big FYI for all looking for a linux control panel that WORKS!

                      Cheers!

                        Hello everyone!

Personally, I will recommend you the cPanel. You will have a number of very useful administrative tools which can save you a lot of time. Furthermore, the cPanel has a great community and you can find a solution for almost every issue in their forum.

Additionally, it is very user-friendly and most of the people who are using web hosting services are already used to it which may be a plus for your business.

                        Kind regards,

cpanel is the most popular and easiest to use i think. i have been using it for 10 years and they have never failed me.

                            thanks,

The Helm control panel has many customer friendly features but there are some drawbacks like ,

                              1. Sub domains remain working while customer or domain are suspended. Same occurs with Gen6 FTP, etc. (who said HELM is as good?).

                              2. Sub domains take one (1) extra web site in IIS, each.
